…studied art in 1970's at the San Francisco Art Institute, UC Davis and Mills College, graduating from Mills with an MFA. While studying at Mills, he was teaching assistant for Italian sculptor Arnaldo Pomodoro. A contemporary of Richard Berger and mentored by Alvin Light, David continues to explore, work, and create with art after the close of his student days.

David divides his time between San Francisco and Hong Kong, where he works as president of his family's herbal medicine business, Tien Sau Tong. David's San Francisco Bay Area studio is in Vallejo.
